What Does It Mean to Work in an Izakaya?

Our izakaya is not a formal restaurant focused on strict service or manuals.
Instead, it’s a relaxed place where friends and colleagues gather to enjoy Japanese sake, wine, and good food.
The key is to make guests enjoy themselves — through food, communication, and atmosphere.
Creating regular customers and moments that make them want to return is what we aim for at IZAKAYA MASUYA.

personnel system & Staff Development

At IZAKAYA MASUYA, each staff member is given a mission (specific responsibility) to promote personal and professional growth.

Management Training

We train our staff based on five key indicators - sales, cost control, goal setting, operations, and team communication. A management consultant evaluates performance monthly by using these criteria.

Staff

We support staff growth through practical training such as improving table service, learning about wine and sake, developing new menus, and visiting the fish market to select ingredients. Initial staff training takes approximately five hours.
